Privacy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
Short version: your photos are processed in your own browser and are never uploaded. The site has no accounts, cookies, analytics or ads at present.
Your photos
When you choose a photo in the compressor, your browser reads it from your device and creates the new JPEG in its own memory. The image is not sent to this website, to the hosting provider, or to anyone else. The pages carry a content security policy with connect-src 'none', which tells the browser to block the page from opening network connections, as an extra safeguard.
When you leave the page, press “Start over”, or choose another photo, the tool releases the temporary copies it made. The downloaded JPEG is saved on your device like any other download, and you control it from there.
The new JPEG is drawn from the pixels only, so details stored inside the original file, such as camera model, date and GPS location, are not copied into it.
Hosting and request logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives the normal information your browser sends when it loads a page or file: your IP address, the address of the page, the time, and your browser’s user agent. Cloudflare may log and process this to deliver and protect the site. This happens for every website visit and does not include your photos. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for how it handles this data.
Cookies, storage and tracking
The site does not set cookies, does not store anything in your browser’s local storage, and does not include analytics, advertising or social media scripts.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write or attach. We use it only to reply and to fix problems you report, and we do not sell it.
Changes
If advertising, analytics or anything else that affects your privacy is added, this page will be updated before or when that change goes live, and any consent options required by law will be added then.
